This inspection can be conducted without the presence of the passenger or the baggage owner, adhering strictly to international civil aviation security standards.

Mandatory Use of TSA Locks and Liability

To prevent unnecessary damage to your belongings, the CAAT strongly advises utilizing standard locking mechanisms:

Passengers should use internationally recognized locking systems that can be opened with standard security tools, such as a TSA Master Tool.
If your checked baggage is secured with a non-standard lock, screeners may be required to break or destroy the lock to conduct the necessary screening.
Any damage resulting from this lawful exercise of authority will not give rise to any claim for damages or compensation from the airport operator or the screeners.

Strict Confiscation of Prohibited Items

A zero-tolerance policy applies to prohibited and dangerous goods found during these inspections:

Any detected suspicious items, explosives, or dangerous goods will be absolutely seized and will not be returned under any circumstances.
Passengers carrying such items may be subject to further legal prosecution.
Following an inspection, a "Notice of Baggage Inspection" will be placed inside your luggage to officially inform you that your bag was screened by authorized personnel.
